To expand our Software Team, we are looking for a
PLC Software Engineer
What will you do
Ensure that our hydrogen refuelling stations, which are now operational at various locations in Europe, continue to function.
You won't be doing this alone, though. Together with our colleagues from the Product Support department, you will continuously work on improvements, updates and troubleshooting.
Your duties will include:
- Life Cycle Management (LCM): providing ongoing updates, improvements and bug fixes for existing hydrogen refuelling stations
- OT Development: improving and updating the PLC software for existing and potentially new or customer-specific hydrogen refuelling stations
- Tickets: analysing PLC software failures, determining the cause, and proposing a suitable technical solution
- Support: Supporting the updating of our existing stations (FOS and FSS) to the latest versions of the PLC software
- Revisions and Testing: Testing and reviewing PLC software, creating release notes, deploying on customer systems, and preparing and securing documentation
What do you bring
As an experienced and analytical PLC software engineer, you have a passion for technology and a keen eye for quality and safety. You know how to optimise industrial installations using smart software and how to tackle failures systematically.
- You have completed an HBO or MBO education in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics or a similar subject.
- You have at least three years' experience programming PLC systems, preferably with Siemens TIA Portal v15-20.
- You have knowledge of and experience with Safety PLC (Pilz) and being able to work with process safety programming would be an advantage.
- You have experience with security/communication, such as MQTT and OPC, and cyber security related to PLC/machine automation.
- You have experience with version control, testing, release management and software documentation.
- Familiarity with Life Cycle Management (LCM) and the implementation of updates and improvements in existing systems.
- You have a good command of Dutch and English, both orally and in writing.
- You are a strong communicator and team player who works in a structured and solution-oriented way, sharing knowledge.
