We are looking for a proactive
Tender Manager
to join our Sales team. You will work together with the Area Sales Manager, who is responsible for the process with the client. You are the main internal point of contact throughout the tender process, including answering questions, clarifying ambiguities and negotiating terms and you will support the Area Sales Manager during customer meetings and negotiations.
Your responsibilities
We are looking for a strategic and customer-focused Tender Manager to
- Defines the tender strategy and calibration of the tender response with the Area Sales Manager
- Manages the assigned tender from review of technical, legal, and commercial documents to delivery of the tender response to the client in collaboration with the assigned Area Sales Manager
- Ensures the timely and accurate submission of all required documents, including price proposals, technical specifications, deviation lists, schedules and contractual terms
- Liaises with and manages internal tender team members (Internal Sales, Operations, QHSE, R&D, Product Support) for the completion of the tender
- Participates in tender handover to Operations upon contract award
- Be responsible to evaluates the process at the end of each tender and identifies areas for improvement to increase efficiency and success rate
- Manages the project document database and includes analysing procurement documents to develop winning bids, preparing detailed customer-focused tender documents that address both technical and commercial aspects, and preparing any additional or specific tender documents as required.
Job requirements
As a Tender manager you have a demonstrated understanding of commercial, contractual and technical aspects of a project. Ability to assess risks technical, commercial and contractual and to prepare competitive and feasible solutions that meet both client needs and the organisation's strategic objectives.
- HBO or WO completed commercial or technical education, contractual skills are a plus
- A strong track record successfully managing projects or tenders in systems sales environment
- Experience in developing commercial proposals and contractual term sheet
- Comfortable in a highly technical market. Understands the application of engineering concepts to business
- Able to analyse complex documents such as tender conditions, specifications and contracts
- Needs to understand the gap between customer requests and company offering. Is a consensus builder who is experienced in managing laterally
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral in Dutch and English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and meet deadlines
